Dayne Malan

Dayne Malan is a cinematographer and photographer based in the United States by way of Cape Town, South Africa.

After graduating from AFDA Cape Town and co-founding TinToy Productions, he relocated to the US in 2017 and has since built a body of work spanning commercials, music videos, narrative film, and long-form video — collaborating with brands, artists, and organizations across the globe.

Most recently, he directed and shot the inaugural season of Stockton Street, the podcast hosted by Serena and Venus Williams. His practice moves fluidly between motion and stills, with a consistent eye for natural light, considered framing, and the rhythm of a single, deliberate take.
